I can still listen to BTSTU by Jai Paul over and over again. It’s been a year since I first heard it.

My dad found my iPod for me! I hope he’s not simultaneously upset that there was an unopened Flying Dog Seasonal brew up in my room, but a Flying Dog bottle is not like a can of Miller, you don’t just leave that shit at the hotel and think too bad- you bring it home and enjoy it later.
He probably thinks I’m a closet alcoholic who hides beers in her backpack.

10 COMMANDMENTS FOR A GOOD LIFE:
“ A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often and realize how fortunate you are right now. It’s about the simple pleasures that make you happy, the compassionate deeds you perform, the personal goals you strive to achieve, the relationships you nurture and the legacy you leave behind.
So starting today, choose to take control. Here are ten commandments to help...

I’m not surprised, seeing as how EDUCATION CORRUPTS OUR YOUTH.
I might have lost my iPod this weekend, and as embarrassing as it is for me to admit, I’m despondent.
I have brought it to so many house parties and to England and on runs and to Party Joe’s in the middle of the woods, in all various levels of intoxication/sobriety, and that I might have misplaced it while I was sober is infuriating. I would rather lose my wallet than my iPod, any...
Some of my fellow invitees seem a little nervous about our imminent induction to the squatty potty lifestyle.
Personally, years of peeing in the woods outside Party Joes, on the side of the road, in snowbanks, etc make me feel like a veteran.

Just say what you really want to say. “Obama’s a Muslim. Y’all know that, right? He’s out to get you. And your families! BEWARE OUR PRESIDENT, HE’S A BAD BAD BAD MAN, HE’S OUT TO GET YOUR JESUS AND YOUR BIBLES AND TRANSFORM AMERICA INTO A SECULAR SOCIETY RUN BY HEATHEN ATHEIST ANTICHRISTS WHO LOVE ABORTIONS!!!”
It’s that easy. Stop talking in code, dudes.

Sometimes, when I read about people who have careers in the fields I’d like to one day work in (sex education/rape crisis services/etc) I get really overwhelmed, because I start comparing myself to adults with 20+ year careers. This is how I go crazy.

I have split ends for the first time in my life. I feel ashamed.
I guess with 11 months without a haircut, this is to be expected.

Anonymous asked: The trilogy you described sounded really good, what are some other anne rice books you'd recommend?
heatherlake asked: Hey! You replied to my post about the Peace Corps a while back. I suppose I was wondering about the best way to get involved with the program and the general process of becoming a volunteer. I'm still a student so I can't apply for a couple of years, but I did want to know what sort of things they look for in a volunteer. Thanks a lot for any help!
